Breakfast will be served in your child's classroom each morning. Breakfast is FREE of charge to every student. Lunch and breakfast menus are available in the school office. The cost for breakfast is FREE; the cost for lunch is $2.25 a day. Your children may qualify for free lunch meals or for the reduced-priced lunch meals. The reduced price is $.40 for lunch. Please click here to apply for the Free or Reduced Lunch Plan. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that the Food Service Manager receives your application for the Free or Reduced Lunch Plan. Each application can take up to 10 days to be processed. If you send in your application and do not receive a letter of approval within 10 - 14 days, please call Dalia Jobe at (623) 742-3956, ext. 144. For a faster response time, please submit your application as early as possible. On average, we process over 1,500 applications at the beginning of each school year. The earlier we receive your application, the earlier you will receive a letter of approval. If you prefer to mail in your application, you may send it to the following address: Heritage Elementary Heritage Elementary also maintains a strict Peanut-Free Policy on both campuses. Several of our students are violently allergic to nuts. Please find alternatives for your child’s lunch box. If you are sending snacks for your child’s class, please check the labels for things like peanut oil and the like. |
Heritage Elementary now offers healthy meals every school day and follows the nutrient standard menu planning system. A minimum of one entrée and two sides must be selected for lunch and a minimum of two items must be selected for breakfast. A choice of milk is also offered daily.
